During the hotter months, most Nevada residents love to take a dip in the pool to cool off. For those who are not affluent enough to have a pool in their back yard, a community pool is the way to go.

Residents in Summerlin, just west outside Las Vegas City, have a couple of choices when they’re looking for a fun time by the water. Below are community pools found in Summerlin that locals, as well as tourists, can check out.

Pavillion Center Pool

The Pavillion Center Pool offers guests a 50×23-meter indoor pool that can accommodate 14-lanes for competitions. It also has a one meter and three meter springboard. Guests can stay the whole day and relax in their outdoor pavilion. Party areas are available for rent for groups and company events.

The Pavillion Center Pool offers water exercise classes, swimming lessons, log rolling classes, and springboard diving classes.

The Trails Park and Pool

The Trails Park is a 15-acre park that features two lighted softball fields, basketball courts, a lighted baseball field, children’s play area, meadow area, and picnic tables for a great time with the family of friends outdoors. The park also as a public swimming pool with a bathhouse and wading pool for the kids. During summer, swimming lessons are offered at the pool.

The Vistas Park Swimming Pool

This park is a 24-acre park that’s home to Summerlin’s first lighted football field. The park also has lighted softball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, and concession buildings. A few children’s play areas are also found in the park. The community center and swimming pool are their most popular feature, bringing residents and visitors from around the area.

The Willows Community Center and Swimming Pool

The Willows Community Center is a great place to check out what’s happening in and around the community. The center also offers a number of youth camps and classes, and also hosts resident meetings and special events. Facility rentals are available to residents, ideal for private functions such as parties, wedding receptions, meetings, and other interest gatherings. This resident-only pool features ample parking space, a beach-style entrance, a play fountain and two water slides.

Garside Swimming Pool

This outdoor swimming pool turns into a 4-lane, 25-yard lap pool and offers water slides and a 1 meter diving board. Swimming lessons and log rolling classes are also offered here. For those planning to stay the whole day, shaded picnic areas are available. You can also rent the facilities for parties and special occasions.
